CPU Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension Dr. Aries Roda D. Romallosa presents the consolidated recommendations on program standards, policies, and procedures as Zone Lead for “The Guidelines” during the 2026 RDLead Forum.
Central Philippine University (CPU) Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension Dr. Aries Roda D. Romallosa served as Zone Lead for “The Guidelines” at the 2026 RDLead Forum on November 5, 2026, at Sequoia Hall, Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
Organized by the Department of Science and Technology–National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP), the forum brought together RD Leaders and representatives of higher education institutions and other host institutions across the country. Participants shared their experiences with the RDLead program and discussed how to improve its guidelines and sustain the program. The forum covered three areas: The Experience, The Guidelines, and Institutionalization.
As Zone Lead for the second discussion round, Dr. Romallosa worked with table hosts and zone helpers to gather the top three proposals from each of the nine discussion tables. She identified common recommendations and points of disagreement on program standards, policies, and procedures, then consolidated them into a report for the plenary session.
CPU reaffirms its commitment to strengthening research leadership through Dr. Aries Roda D. Romallosa’s participation as Zone Lead for “The Guidelines” at the 2026 RDLead Forum.
CPU’s participation drew on its experience hosting RD Leader Engr. Jeremias Gonzaga of De La Salle University earlier in 2026 through its AdvanceTECH initiative. The engagement provided expert guidance to faculty researchers as they refined research ideas and developed proposals for potential external funding.
That experience gave CPU a practical perspective on what host institutions need to support RDLead engagements, including clear responsibilities, coordination among academic units, and follow-through on expert recommendations. CPU’s participation in the forum complemented its continuing efforts to strengthen research, development, and extension under its FAITH Research Agenda.
