The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VI (CHEDRO VI) conducted a monitoring and evaluation of Central Philippine University’s (CPU) graduate programs on October 6, 2026.

The opening program was held at the New Valentine’s Audio-Visual Room (NV-AVR), where CPU Administration Officials, Deans, Program Heads, along with CHEDRO VI’s quality assessment team, gathered for a brief discussion on the evaluation process.

Chief Education Program Specialist Dr. Danebeth G. Narzoles explained the developmental and regulatory functions of the evaluation, highlighting that institutions are encouraged to maintain compliance with the quality standards before regulatory measures are considered.

During the feedback session, the team presented general findings and program-specific assessments, noting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. In addition to the graduate programs, the assessment also covered faculty members and facilities.

The evaluation encouraged CPU to continue strengthening its quality assurance practices, potentially opening opportunities for collaboration with CHED in future international and academic initiatives.

The findings and recommendations from the assessment are expected to ensure that the University’s facilities, faculty members, and services continue to meet CHED’s standards and requirements.

Through this activity, CPU further demonstrates its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 – Quality Education.
