Sharing hope and building connections—members of the CPU Gospel Team bring the message of God’s love to communities in Tigbauan and Igbaras through their Summer Evangelistic Outreach.
Over the course of four days, from May 4 to 8, 2026, the CPU Gospel Team was sent into the communities of Tigbauan and Igbaras, Province of Iloilo, for a Summer Evangelistic Outreach. With hearts ready to serve, the team sought to share the message of God’s love and salvation through intentional ministry and genuine connection.
Each day, the team visited a different community, beginning with area saturation by meeting residents, extending invitations, and building meaningful relationships. This prepared the way for the program that followed. The outreach formally began with gathering songs that created a welcoming atmosphere, followed by prayer, mini concerts, and personal testimonies. The evangelistic drama became a central highlight, presenting the gospel in a creative and relatable way, which was then followed by the clear sharing of God’s Word. In each station, an estimated 70 to 85 individuals attended the outreach, reflecting the community’s openness and active participation.
Throughout the outreach, the team witnessed how simple acts such as smiles, conversations, and presence can leave a lasting impact. Communities responded with openness and gratitude, creating an environment where hearts were ready to listen. Children participated with enthusiasm, while parents expressed appreciation for the encouragement brought into their homes. In several moments, conversations continued even after the program, reflecting a growing interest in the message that was shared.
At the same time, the experience shaped the team itself. Serving together strengthened their unity, deepened their commitment, and reminded them of the true meaning of ministry. It became clear that ministry is not measured by size or recognition, but by faithfulness and genuine love in serving others.
As the outreach came to a close, the CPU Gospel Team returned with renewed purpose, deeper compassion, and a stronger commitment to continue sharing God’s love. What was planted during those four days may seem small, yet like seeds in the soil, it carries the promise of growth. In time, what was sown in faith will bear fruit beyond what was seen, all for the glory of God—Soli Deo Gloria.
