Congratulations to Atty. Ian Thomas M. Besana, CPU Law Class of 2006, and Atty. Edter Paul A. Salcedo, CPU Law Class of 2016, on your appointments as Presiding Judges!
Atty. Ian Thomas M. Besana, CPU Law Class of 2006, and Atty. Edter Paul A. Salcedo, CPU Law Class of 2016, have been appointed as presiding judges in the judiciary by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
According to a post by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on October 6, 2026, new judges were appointed to the Regional Trial Courts (RTCs), Metropolitan Trial Courts (MeTCs), Municipal Trial Courts (MTCs), and Municipal Circuit Trial Courts (MCTCs).
Atty. Besana was appointed as Presiding Judge of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Branch 2 in Iloilo City, while Atty. Salcedo was appointed as MTCC Presiding Judge in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The appointments add to the growing list of CPU Law alumni serving in the judiciary.
