CPU Team proudly emerges as Regional Winner in the Tourism Start-Up Challenge and will represent Region VI at the national stage with their innovative project “Lakbay Labs: Innovating the Journey, Winning the Future,” bringing honor and pride to the Centralian community.
CPU Team successfully emerged as Regional Winner in the prestigious Tourism Start-Up Challenge and will be representing Region VI at the national stage. Their winning theme, “Lakbay Labs: Innovating the Journey, Winning the Future,” brought pride and honor to the Centralian community.
The CPU Team is composed of Farrah Marie D. Agosto (3rd Year BS Hospitality Management), Chiara Belle J. Cabiten (3rd Year BS Tourism Management), Faith Niña Marie A. Magsael (4th Year BS Software Engineering), Rhea Rizz M. Perocho (4th Year BS Software Engineering), Dianne Lois I. Senegocio (3rd Year BS Psychology), and Kristen Atria L. Tordesillas (4th Year BS Electronic Engineering).
The prestigious event is a nationwide initiative led by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA). It provides college students, particularly those in their third and fourth years, a platform to develop innovative and sustainable project proposals aligned with the National Tourism Development Plan and the program’s grant priority areas.
The team expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the university and CPUGAD TBI for their unwavering support and guidance. This milestone reflects the team’s ingenuity and highlights the university’s commitment to fostering excellence in developing meaningful solutions for the tourism sector.
