Through HIRAYA: PAGBULIGAY, YES, the CBA Student Council, and partner organizations extended essential donations and support to families affected by the fire in Brgy. Muelle Loney, Iloilo City.

HIRAYA: PAGBULIGAY – An In-Kind Donation Drive for Families Affected by the Fire is a humanitarian outreach initiative of the Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES) of Central Philippine University in response to the fire incident in Brgy. Muelle Loney, City Proper, Iloilo City, which damaged 11 houses. The project aims to provide immediate assistance by mobilizing the University community and partner organizations to collect and distribute essential in-kind donations to the affected families. Beyond providing basic necessities, HIRAYA: PAGBULIGAY promotes compassion, volunteerism, and the spirit of bayanihan through meaningful community service.

HIRAYA: PAGBULIGAY brought together the Young Entrepreneurs Society, the Central Philippine University community, and partner organizations to help families affected by the fire in Brgy. Muelle Loney, City Proper, Iloilo City. The project collected food, clothes, hygiene items, household needs, and school supplies, which were sorted and prepared for distribution to the affected families. Through this effort, the project provided immediate help while promoting kindness, volunteerism, and the spirit of bayanihan.

The Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES) of the College of Business and Accountancy conducted an In-Kind Donation Drive as part of HIRAYA: PAGBULIGAY to provide immediate assistance to families affected by the fire in Brgy. Muelle Loney, City Proper, Iloilo City. Following the incident that damaged 11 houses, the organization mobilized the Central Philippine University community and partner organizations to help provide essential items needed by the affected families.

From July 28 to 31, 2026, YES collected in-kind donations such as food and drinks, clothing, hygiene and personal care items, household necessities, and school supplies. The donations were properly documented, sorted, inventoried, and prepared for turnover to the affected families. Through the collective support of donors and volunteers, the activity provided practical assistance to families while promoting compassion, volunteerism, and the spirit of bayanihan.

The Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES) carried out the collection and sorting of donated items as part of HIRAYA: PAGBULIGAY to ensure that all donations were properly organized and prepared for the affected families. Throughout the donation period, volunteers received and documented the items contributed by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partner organizations.

The collected donations were sorted, inventoried, and organized according to their type, including food, clothing, hygiene and personal care items, household necessities, and school supplies. This process helped ensure that the donated goods were properly accounted for and ready for efficient distribution to the families affected by the fire.

On August 3, 2026, the Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES), together with the College of Business and Accountancy Student Council and its partner organizations, conducted the turnover of collected donations to the families affected by the fire in Brgy. Muelle Loney, Iloilo City. The donations included clothes, food, hygiene essentials, school supplies, and other basic necessities gathered during the July 27–31 donation drive.

The turnover served as the final activity of HIRAYA: PAGBULIGAY, bringing the collective support of the Central Philippine University community directly to the affected families. Through this effort, the organizations were able to provide immediate assistance while expressing compassion, solidarity, and the spirit of bayanihan.
