The Sangguniang Bayan of New Lucena, Iloilo, has expressed its gratitude to the Central Philippine University College of Agriculture, Resources and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association Inc. (CPUCARES AA) Batch ’77 for the successful conduct of the Cacao Business Forum held on July 17, 2026, at the Regional Food Terminal in New Lucena.
The forum was organized by CPUCARES AA Batch ’77 in coordination with the New Lucena Local Government Unit and the Panay Organization for Progressive Agriculture (POPA). It featured an agriculture cooperative seminar focused on cacao production, marketing, and business potential, along with the distribution of cacao seedlings to participants.
The activity formed part of the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the CPU College of Agriculture, Resources and Environmental Sciences.
In recognition of the initiative and its contribution to the local agricultural sector, the Sangguniang Bayan of New Lucena, through Hon. Jocelyn P. Espia, CPU BA ’77, crafted Resolution No. 2026-191 expressing appreciation to CPUCARES AA Batch ’77 for the successful conduct of the forum.
The resolution was sponsored by Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Liecel Mondejar Seville.
