In a meaningful expression of community service and alumni engagement, the CPU College of Agriculture, Resources, and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association Inc. (CPUCARES AAI), through its Batang 90s group, successfully conducted a Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive for household pets this morning, June 24, 2026, on the CPU campus.
The activity is part of the ongoing celebrations for the CARES 75th Anniversary. Organized in partnership with the Office of the City Veterinarian of Iloilo City, the drive resulted in the successful vaccination of 21 dogs and 9 cats, benefiting pet owners from the university community and surrounding areas. The activity also featured a short educational session on responsible pet ownership, reflecting the alumni association’s commitment not only to animal welfare but to broader public health awareness.
The CPUCARES AAI continues to demonstrate the values of service and excellence that define the CPU-CARES tradition, proving that the spirit of agriculture, resources, and environmental stewardship lives on beyond the classroom.
Congratulations to the Batang 90s and to all partners who made this initiative possible. Here’s to 75 years of CARES and to many more decades of meaningful impact!
