Mississauga, Ontario – June 13, 2026 — The Annual Picnic of the Central Philippine University Alumni Association of Greater Toronto Area (CPUAAGTA) was a tremendous success, bringing together alumni, guests, relatives, and friends for a day filled with fellowship, food, fun and laughter, and cherished memories.

The event was held at Philippine Park, a dedicated community green space in Mississauga that celebrates the city’s Filipino-Canadian heritage. The beautiful setting provided the perfect backdrop for a day of reconnecting, sharing experiences, and strengthening the bonds that unite the CPUAAGTA community as they hold on together on their motto, “Living the Central Spirit.”

One of the highlights of the picnic was the impressive array of delicious dishes prepared and shared by attendees. Alumni, their families and friends, proudly showcased their culinary talents through a wide variety of homemade specialties, creating a feast of abundance that was enjoyed by everyone. The generosity and creativity displayed through the shared meal reflected the spirit of cooperation, hospitality, and friendship that defines the association.

The picnic also featured a fun-filled program of activities and entertainment for all ages. Participants enjoyed games, social activities, and opportunities to share stories and experiences. The lively atmosphere fostered camaraderie and provided memorable moments for everyone in attendance.

Adding excitement to the day’s festivities was a raffle draw featuring an assortment of prizes generously donated by fellow alumni. The association extends its heartfelt appreciation to those alumni donors whose generosity contributed to the enjoyment and success of the event. Their support exemplifies the spirit of giving and community that continues to strengthen CPUAAGTA.

CPUAAGTA also extends sincere thanks to all volunteers, organizers, participants, and contributors whose dedication and hard work made the gathering possible. Special recognition goes to those who prepared and shared dishes, coordinated activities, secured raffle prizes, and assisted with event logistics.

The Annual Picnic once again demonstrated the strength, vitality, and enduring friendships within the CPUAAGTA family. As alumni, relatives, guests, and friends gathered to celebrate their shared connections, the event reinforced the values of friendship, service, cultural pride, and lifelong fellowship that continue to inspire the association.

CPUAAGTA looks forward to future gatherings and opportunities to bring its members together in the spirit of unity, community, and alumni pride. Together the association with its membership is forever grateful as they have been led and guided by the Almighty in all of their undertakings. To God Be the Glory!
