Students gather at the Conference Room of Henry Luce III Library for the Parallel Sessions: Sharing of Professional Journeys, learning from the experiences and insights of Centralian professionals across various fields.
Central Philippine University united Centralians together through the Grand Alumni Homecoming (GAH) 2026 week-long activities, held from September 26 to October 4.
Generations of Centralians gathered for activities centered on fellowship, service, culture, and community. The celebration commenced on September 26 with the CARES 75th Anniversary Celebration and the CARES 75th Anniversary Gala and Awards Night.
Beginning September 28, various exhibits were launched and opened to alumni and guests, including the “Together We Build” exhibit that featured corporate booths situated at the Alumni Concert Promenade Park, the Car Exhibit, Motorcycle Exhibit, and the 121st CPU Foundation Day Exhibit held at the Henry Luce III Library.
The GAH 2026 also featured several alumni activities, including the CPUFOAAI Devotional and Prayer, CPUFOAAI Business Meeting, and Welcome Fellowship Dinner at the University Gym where the Together We Build presentation was shared and the nominees for the 2026 Alumni King and Queen was named.
On September 29, alumni took part in the Iloilo City Tour, alongside the Parallel Sessions: Sharing of Professional Journeys, giving alumni the opportunity to share stories of their hurdles and success. The day also featured the Mr. and Ms. CPU 2026 Pageant at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, where Shenna Myls P. Piedad from the Department of Senior High School and John Gabriel C. Braña from the College of Hospitality Management both secured the crown.
On September 30, the celebration continued with the CPUAAI Outreach in Bingawan, Iloilo, the Pasundayag, with the theme, “Generations in Harmony: Gifted by God, United by the Central Spirit”, and the 120th Founding Anniversary of the College of Nursing.
The university commemorated its 121st Foundation Day on October 1 through the CPU 121st Foundation Day Memorial Service at the Philippine-American Cemetery, followed by the Unveiling of the 121st Foundation Day Marker, and the CPU 121st Foundation Day Fellowship. The day also featured two presentations of Hopevale Musicale: A Central that Cares, A Central that Dares, held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Meanwhile, University Week Centralian Fest activities, including the Foot Parade, Street Dance Contest, Picnic, and Choral Contest will continue on October 2, alongside the Engineering Alumni Fellowship Night scheduled for the evening.
Activities on October 3 will highlight the Central Spirit Run, Alumni Homecoming and General Assembly, and will culminate in the Alumni Gala Night, featuring the coronation of the Alumni King and Queen and the induction of CPUFOAAI officers.
The celebration will conclude on October 4 with the 19th CPU Alumni Invitational Golf-for-a-Cause Tournament, CPU Foundation Day Worship Service, and Operations Care International Outreach Program.
Through its diverse activities, the CPU Grand Alumni Homecoming 2026 continues to strengthen the connection among Centralians while celebrating the university’s heritage and achievements. It serves as a testament to the Central Spirit that continues to unite generations and the commitment of every Centralian to honor their shared legacy.
