CPU second-year BSEd Science students and MathSciFil Dynasty officers lead the third Science Olympics at Culasi Elementary School in Ajuy, Iloilo, bringing hands-on science learning and joy to young learners.

Second-year Bachelor in Secondary Education (BSEd) students majoring in Science, along with the MathSciFil Dynasty officers, organized the Science Olympics at Culasi Elementary School, Ajuy, Iloilo, on June 10, 2026.

Anchored on the theme “Curiosity Unleashed: Exploring Science Beyond the Classroom,” the event featured five stations highlighting the different branches of science, namely Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics.

Furthermore, students received school supplies and meal provisions as part of the program’s objectives.

Initiated by Asst. Prof. Sarex D. Dipol Jr, Director of the Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center, and Dr. Regina E. Samillano, program head of Science Education, the annual Science Olympics aims to foster service-learning among students and develop scientific curiosity among children.

This year’s Science Olympics marked its third edition since its inauguration in 2024.
