The Mechanical Engineering Department attended the 5th Visayas Mechanical Engineering Students’ Conference (MESCON) 2026 held at Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod on June 25, 2026.

Central Philippine University’s third-and fourth-year Mechanical Engineering students departed for Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod to represent the institution at the 5th Visayas Regional Mechanical Engineering Students’ Conference (MESCON) 2026.

Anchored on the theme, “PSIM: Leadership with Integrity and Stability Geared Towards Membership Welfare Development, Professional Growth and Motivation for Global Competence,” the Centralian delegation showcased their academic excellence, technical skills, and competitive spirit across various contested events. The delegation actively participated in the institutional Quiz Bowl, Machine Design, AutoCAD, Poster Making, Chess, and Photography competitions.

Beyond the academic and technical competitions, this regional convention serves as an avenue for fostering strong camaraderie and institutional fellowship. The event provided CPU delegates with the opportunity to interact, share insights, and collaborate with peer student engineers from various participating institutions across the Visayas, including Central Philippine State University (CPSU), Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu (Mandaue Campus) and the host school, Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod (CSA-B).

This networking significantly expands the students’ technical perspectives, helps them cultivate valuable regional professional networks, and enhances their readiness for national engineering competence.
