Central Philippine University (CPU) earned multiple distinctions at the 2026 Salute to Excellence Awarding Ceremony of The Outstanding Students of Iloilo Awards (TOSIA), held on May 30, 2026, at Robinsons Place Pavia.
The TOSIA Elite School Award was conferred upon CPU through a plaque of recognition for its outstanding and consistent performance in producing and honoring outstanding students of Iloilo for five (5) consecutive years.
Among the university’s awardees, Elaisha Losaria Pomida, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication graduate (summa cum laude), garnered multiple distinctions including TOSIA Top Circle of 5, TOSIA Writer, TOSIA Speaker, TOSIA Worker, TOSIA Leader, and the Hall of Fame Award.
Meanwhile, Hannah Joy Borja, a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate (cum laude), was recognized as one of the 12 awardees in the College Category of TOSIA 2026.
A Plaque of Recognition was also awarded to Pastor Alfred C. Morales in recognition of his unwavering dedication and invaluable contribution to the growth, development, and success of outstanding students in Iloilo.
Representing the university during the awarding ceremony were Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, Vice President for Student Affairs; Dr. Annalee Cocjin, Chair of the Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities; and Pastor Alfred C. Morales, Director of the Student Development and Programs (SDP) Office and coach of the CPU contingent.
The Outstanding Students of Iloilo Awards (TOSIA) is a flagship program of Junior Chamber International – Regatta (JCI Regatta), recognizing well-rounded Ilonggo students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, community service, and faith, while also honoring the schools that nurture them into active, responsible citizens.
