CPU BSED Science students visit National Museum Iloilo as part of EdSci 1001 Course
Second-year BSED Science students of CPU College of Education tour the National Museum of the Philippines–Iloilo on June 2, 2026 as part of their Teaching of Science (EdSci 1001) course requirements.

Second year students from Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science of CPU College of Education visited the National Museum of the Philippines – Iloilo on June 2, 2026, as part of their academic requirements for The Teaching of Science (EdSci 1001).

The field trip was conducted as part of the requirements for The Teaching of Science / Teaching the Specialized Field (EdSci 1001), a course that prepares future educators to teach science through meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

The activity was attended by students Nel Angelo Hablado, Vioncey Glindro, Shaina Angelika Sising, and Ephraim John Teruel, together with their instructor, Asst. Prof. Sarex Dalida Dipol Jr., explored the museum’s galleries and exhibits, which feature the city’s rich natural heritage, biodiversity and cultural treasures.

During the visit, students examined exhibits and discussed how museum resources can be used to make science lessons more engaging and meaningful for learners. The experience also encouraged critical thinking, observation, and appreciation of the nation’s scientific and historical treasurers.

The field trip formed part of the course requirements for EdSci 1001, which aims to prepare future science teachers through meaningful learning experiences that combine academic knowledge with real-world observation.
