CPU and CPUAAI are set to welcome alumni from all over the world

Central Philippine University (CPU) and the CPU Alumni Association, Inc. (CPUAAI) are set to welcome alumni from all over the world as they celebrate the 121st Foundation Day and the 2026 Grand Alumni Homecoming (GAH), with 32 programs outlined across the celebration period from September 26 to October 9, 2026.

The celebrations kick off on Saturday, September 26, with the CARES 75th Anniversary Celebration at the CPU JHS Gym from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by the CARES 75th Anniversary Gala and Awards Night at the Grand Xing Imperial Hotel at 6:00 PM.

The “Together We Build” Exhibits will be launched at the Alumni Promenade and Concert Park from 8:30 to 10:00 AM and will run from September 28 to October 3. These include the Corporate Exhibit at the Alumni Promenade and Concert Park, the Car Exhibit in front of the Kindergarten, and the Motorcycle Exhibit between RMA and HLL. The 121st CPU Foundation Day Exhibit will be open from September 28 to October 9, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the HLL Lobby and Gallery, 4th Floor.

On Monday, September 28, the CPUFOAAI Devotional and Prayer will be held at the HLL Conference Room at 7:00 AM, while the Debate Finals will take place at the EMC Conference Room from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN. Registration and distribution of kits will be at the Rose Memorial Auditorium from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN and from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The CPUFOAAI Business Meeting will be at the HLL Conference Room from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and the Welcome Fellowship Dinner with a “Together We Build” presentation will follow at the University Gym from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. Attire for the dinner is casual: a CPU or batch T-shirt and pants.

On Tuesday, September 29, alumni can join the Iloilo City Tour from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (comfortable casual wear), with parallel sessions on Sharing of Professional Journeys at selected CPU classrooms from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN and from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The Mr. and Ms. CPU Pageant will be held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, with smart casual attire.

On Wednesday, September 30, the CPUAAI Outreach will take place in Bingawan, Iloilo, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN. Meanwhile, Pasundayag – Generations in Harmony: Gifted by God, United by the Central Spirit will be held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. The 120th Founding Anniversary of the College of Nursing will be celebrated at the Loreto D. Tupas Building from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

On Thursday, October 1, the CPU 121st Foundation Day Memorial Service will be held at the Fil-Am Cemetery from 6:00 to 7:00 AM, with attendees advised to wear smart casual attire. This will be followed by the Unveiling of the 121st Foundation Day Marker at the Big Field, fronting the Kindergarten, from 7:30 to 8:00 AM, and the CPU 121st Foundation Day Fellowship at the HLL Conference Room at 8:00 AM. The Hopevale Musicale: A Central that Cares, A Central that Dares will be staged at the Rose Memorial Auditorium at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

On Friday, October 2, the University Week Centralian Fest opens with the Foot Parade at the CPU Big Field from 5:30 to 8:30 AM, followed by the Street Dance Contest from 8:30 to 11:00 AM and the Picnic from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, both at various venues. Attire for these three activities is the GAH 2026 T-shirt and pants. The Choral Contest will be held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium at 3:00 PM, and the Engineering Alumni Fellowship Night will be at the Engineering Building Lobby at 6:00 PM.

On Saturday, October 3, the Central Spirit Run will start at 4:00 AM, with the assembly area in front of RMA. The Alumni Homecoming and General Assembly, including the Search for Alumni King and Queen, will be held at the University Gym from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with casual attire. The University Week Centralian Fest Folkdance Contest will take place at the Rose Memorial Auditorium at 2:30 PM, and the Work Student Alumni Association Homecoming and General Assembly will be at the EMC Conference Room from 2:30 to 5:30 PM. The Alumni Gala Night, featuring the Coronation of the Alumni King and Queen and the Induction of CPUFOAAI Officers, will be held at the Iloilo Convention Center from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Attire is formal.

On Sunday, October 4, the 19th CPU Alumni Invitational Golf-for-a-Cause Tournament will be held at the Sta. Barbara Centenary Golf Course in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, starting at 6:00 AM. The CPU Foundation Day Worship Service will be at the Rose Memorial Auditorium from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, with semi-formal attire, and the Operations Care International Outreach Program will be at the University Church from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

Ticketed events include the CARES 75th Anniversary Celebration and Gala and Awards Night, the Iloilo City Tour, the Mr. and Ms. CPU Pageant, the Hopevale Musicale, the Central Spirit Run, the Alumni Homecoming and General Assembly, and the Alumni Gala Night. The Debate Finals and the University Week Centralian Fest Foot Parade, Street Dance Contest, Picnic, and Choral Contest are student-led activities; alumni who wish to join the Foot Parade and Picnic should coordinate with their college or department. Separate registration is required for the Central Spirit Run.
