Centralian presidents of various higher education institutions across Western Visayas present during the 2026 CPU Alumni Grand Homecoming & General Assembly held at the University Gym, October 3.
Centralian presidents of higher education institutions were honored at Central Philippine University (CPU) during the 2026 CPU Grand Alumni Homecoming and General Assembly held at the University Gym, on October 3, 2026.
With the theme “Central Spirit: Uniting Generations,” the gathering featured Centralian leaders from various higher education institutions who were recognized during the homecoming celebration.
Among those present were Rev. Ivan Mars M. Cabillete, President of Convention Baptist Bible College in Bacolod City; Dr. Raffy B. Chavez, President of Northern Iloilo State University in Estancia, Iloilo; Dr. George O. Cortel, President of Filamer Christian University in Roxas City, Capiz; and Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, President of Central Philippine University in Jaro, Iloilo City.
Also recognized were Dr. Godelyn S. Gallega-Hisole, President of the University of Antique in Sibalom, Antique; Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, President of Guimaras State University in Guimaras; Engr. Richard Kenneth F. Salas III, President of Western Institute of Technology in Lapaz, Iloilo City; and Dr. Gabriel M. Salustre Jr., President of Iloilo Science and Technology University in Lapaz, Iloilo City.
During the program, Rev. Cabillete and Engr. Salas delivered the response on behalf of the honorees, representing fellow Centralian leaders in expressing their appreciation for the gathering.
The recognition of Centralian presidents highlighted the continuing presence and contributions of CPU alumni in the leadership of higher education institutions across the region and beyond. Through the event, Centralian leaders were united despite serving different institutions, continuing their commitment to education, service, and to their Alma Mater.
