During the Online PH-OGP Localization Master Class for Regional Teams, Dr. Lenny Rose P. Mucho and Mr. Herman Jornadal participated in a capacity-building session.

Central Philippine University (CPU) has strengthened its commitment to transparent, accountable, and participatory governance through its partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region VI for the implementation of the Philippine Agenda for Localization of the Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP Localization) in Iloilo City.

As part of the initiative, Dr. Lenny Rose P. Mucho, Director of the Review, Continuing Education, and Consultancy Center (RCECC), and Mr. Herman Jornadal, LPT, faculty member, have been designated as facilitator and documenter, respectively. They will provide technical and strategic support to local government units in advancing open government principles such as transparency, accountability, and citizen participation.

The collaboration with Department of the Interior and Local Government Region VI aims to institutionalize open governance values within local systems and processes, promoting inclusive decision-making and stronger multi-sector partnerships for sustainable development.

Through this initiative, CPU continues to play a vital role in advancing people-centered governance and community empowerment.
