The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region VI recognized Central Philippine University (CPU) for its support in the implementation of the agency’s recruitment, promotional activities, Physical Fitness Tests, and Drug Testing during the BFP Region VI’s 35th Anniversary Celebration on August 27, 2026.

The anniversary celebration was held at Diversion 21 Hotel, Benigno Aquino Avenue, Diversion Road, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, with the theme, “Tatlong Dekada at Limang Taon ng Serbisyong Tapat at Maaasahan: BFP sa Bagong Pilipinas.”

On behalf of CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, CPU NSTP Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos, together with CPU NSTP-CWTS Coordinator Ma. Leen C. Gahum, received the recognition.

The recognition was given in appreciation of CPU’s support through the provision of its facilities as venues for the BFP’s programs and initiatives in the region.
