The CPU Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities (DLMCH) faculty organized a heartwarming congratulatory and farewell party for its fourth-year students on May 21, 2026, at the Jollibee Taft North branch in Iloilo City. The event was successfully led by the DLMCH Chairperson, Dr. Annalee Cocjin, alongside the department faculty members and the English Language Officers.

The program kicked off in the afternoon, with the graduating Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Communication students initially arriving for a supposed “birthday party”—which turned out to be a delightful surprise celebration dedicated entirely to them. Asst. Prof. Christie Anne Ramos opened the event with welcoming remarks, sharing a heartfelt and inspiring message meant to serve as a guiding tool for the graduates as they embark on their professional journeys.

Following the opening remarks, the atmosphere turned festive as students eagerly participated in parlor games complete with exciting prizes. The celebration became even more memorable when Jollibee himself made a surprise appearance, prompting cheerful interactions and playfulness from the crowd. After the high-energy games, everyone enjoyed a hearty meal, and the graduates were given special tokens to bring home.

The memorable afternoon concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Annalee Cocjin. Her parting words left the graduates filled with a mix of tears and joy, sending them off with inspiration as they step forward into their chosen career paths.
