Three student leaders from Central Philippine University (CPU) advance as finalists in the Search for The Outstanding Student Leaders of the Philippines (OSLP) 2026, following the organization’s official announcement of its fifth batch of finalists on its Facebook page on May 31, 2026.

The finalists are Alexander Ernest Apostol, former CPU Republic Senator; Hannah Joy Borja, President of the Rex D. Drilon Debate Society-CPU; and John Lloyd Panizales, current CPU Republic Prime Minister.

The three Centralians are among the select student leaders nationwide who successfully passed the rigorous assessment, validation, and evaluation process conducted by the OSLP organizers.

According to the OSLP, the finalists distinguished themselves through leadership initiatives, community engagement, academic excellence, and their commitment to creating positive impact within their respective institutions and communities.

The achievement highlights CPU’s continuing tradition of developing student leaders who embody excellence, integrity, and servant leadership. It also reflects the University’s commitment to nurturing students who contribute meaningfully to society and nation-building.

Following their selection as finalists, Apostol, Borja, and Panizales proceed to the next stages of the competition, which include the formation program and final interview.

The OSLP is a national recognition program that honors outstanding student leaders from higher education institutions across the Philippines who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and dedication to transformative change.
