Pilgrims for Christ volunteers during the relief distribution.

The University Church together with Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Sarabia, and the Negros Kasapulanan Christian Youth Fellowship, sent aid to flood-stricken families in Negros Occidental last January 16, 2021.

The funds used for the relief goods were generated from the White Gift Service on Dec. 16, 2020.

Pilgrims for Christ, a mission team of Hillside Evangelical Church led by Pastor Arcon Marin led the relief distribution.

500 families from Cadiz, E.B. Magalona, and Sagay City received food packs which consisted of a loaf of bread, rice canned, goods, noodles, milk and other assorted items.

“When the community knew of the relief operation they gladly shared their resources. We are thankful to Mr. Rudyard Palada, Mrs. Annabelle Marin Palada, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie and Pearl Sarabia for their kind and generous hearts,” said University Church Senior Pastor Rev. Cris Amorsolo Sian.

“We are grateful that the Lord has called the community of faith to not just help our brethren but also bring the message of hope, love and compassion to the affected families.”
