The Philippine Nurses Association of Tennessee has inducted Centralian Harold Sayco as its President for 2024–2026. The induction of the executive board with its theme, “PNA-TN: Empowering Communities, Healing Lives,” was held at St. Benedict Auburndale on April 20, 2024.

Harold Sayco, MD, BSN, RN, is a Centralian graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing batch of 1993. He was an active student leader and was elected as the CPU Republic President from 1993 to 1994.

“Being elected as the President of PNA Tennessee, my greatest challenge is balancing my work as an OR nurse, Chairman of the Board of a Filipino-American Association, all at the same time and my new responsibility. I believe the main reason I was able to overcome it is because of the unrelenting support of my family and the community I serve,” Dr. Sayco said during an online interview.

Located at 5827 Peterson Ridge Ln Bartlett, TN 38134, the Philippine Nurses Association of Tennessee is a chapter of the Philippine Nurses Association of America. The association promotes professional excellence and contributes to significant outcomes for healthcare and society.

For Dr. Sayco, his Christian education is his driving force to be resilient in life, no matter what. “Let our Central spirit shine in every aspect of our professional life,” his message to the Centralian community after being inducted as the president of the Philippine Nurses Association of Tennessee.
