Central Philippine University

Rosalie thanks CPU for the Christ Emphasis Week that made an impact in her life.

On a Monday morning, Centralian Rosalie Imperial Ganancial, Manager of Du Ek Sam Quezon Branch, Iloilo begins not with the normal accounting, sales or updates of her staff from last week. She begins the day with a devotional meeting with her staff behind the stacks and display of motorcycles and equipment.

She would gather everyone and begin with a prayer which she said is very important to their operation. “Everything relies on the guidance and provision of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It includes my supervision, health condition and development in our business. Such values were learned with sentiments from my college in business management at Central Philippine University”, said Rosalie who has been working as Branch Manager of Du Ek Sam, Inc., Iloilo City with over 17 years of progressive experience; improving business processes and increasing revenue.

Ganancial retains customers in multiple locations. She is recognized as a strength of the company for her good financial administration, being a leader and team builder; a good program manager. Her professional customer interaction and accommodating attitude helped build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external C-level executives to facilitate business success.

She provides direction and training for all the employees, but with that she said, is the Christian emphasis in the workplace. She maintains awareness of the right attitude and work discipline with the employees through their periodic devotional and Bible study. “We start the week with Christian emphasis meeting on Mondays and close the week on Saturdays with Thanksgiving and Devotional.” Ganancial said.

She has also worked with the Foundation for Social Investment, Center for Community Transformation and SM Holdings Inc., both in Iloilo City.

Ganancial is a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Finance from Central Philippine University in 2003, and her Secondary Education from Dingle Agricultural and Technical College, Dingle, Iloilo in 2004.

Rosalie has always been proud to be a Centralian. She has expressed gratitude and said, “In as much as Central Philippine University with the vision of EXCEL-Exemplary Christian Education for Life, I believe that the CPU Campus is not only confined within the 24-hectare area of the prestigious university; not even anymore just one of Iloilo’s universities, nor just a university in the Philippines, but CPU is one of the top and largest universities in the Philippines.”

Ganancial imparts her values and success as a Centralian and a businesswoman:

“I like CPU’s beautiful campus with an atmosphere conducive to learning and reflection and pervaded by a Christian friendliness known as the “Central Spirit.” Thankful for all my teachers back then who wish nothing else but the progress and development of their dear students. I have the opportunity to EXCEL to the world, living, working and achieving greatly in my own platform especially in the world of business.

One of the great contributors to my success as a mother, a wife, a manager, and a businesswoman is the C.E.W. (Christ Emphasis Week) that the University offers every semester. It is of great value that lingers on and on to all students of CPU. The Word of God that CPU implanted in my heart makes me strong and I can continue to go on even if how hard my life is. Deuteronomy 28:13 “The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the Top, never at the Bottom.” The road to success is not easy but as the years go by, I see all His promises come to life and experienced all the blessings, like going to the countries that I dreamed of when I was just a student. I thank God for the incentive trips to Singapore, Thailand, Hongkong, and to local trips in Vigan, Ilocos Norte, Batanes, and many more. God has given me so many opportunities.

There is no “one size fits all” approach to life. It depends on the individual. For some people, a job is better. For other people, a business is better. But for me, employment may have its own benefit in the short-term whereby monthly salary and lesser risk when you’re young; Entrepreneurship, on the other hand, is a long-term goal that would allow you to manage your risk, income, work environment and time. By God’s grace He allows me to handle both my job and being a businesswoman. My husband and I are the co-owners of Daltan Unified Wealth with one goal, and that is to create a simple achievable marketing system (Karis System) and a leadership strategy that even ordinary persons can achieve the maximum income potential. We value people and our business has been running since last December 2020 in many parts of the Visayas.

Every Christian should know that God has a plan. Everything happens for a reason and no one can foil God’s plans. His plan can be long term so we cannot always see it. God protects His people, and He is always working for our good. My life is inspired by my Alma Mater. I thank God for the opportunity to be a Centralian. My desire now is to lead others to God, and for them to be financially stable.

May God bless CPU and all the lovable staff, teachers and all.
