Competing for the ultimate title – The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers-CPU Student Chapter (PSME-CPUSC) garnered 2nd place in the recently concluded PSME Visayas Regional Conference Quiz Bee held on June 20, 2023, at the Sabin Resort Hotel, Ormoc City.
The CPU representatives, all BSME-4 students, were Richard F. Fernandez, Christian L. Martinez, and Mikhail Jan H. Oro; Engr. Brian Ray J. Minerva who served as their coach and member of the faculty of the CPU ME Department; and Kristine P. Calasara, BSME-4, President of PSME-CPUSC and Chairperson, Unified Chapters of the Visayas 2nd Visayas Mechanical Engineering Students’ Convention.
The said quiz bee was defined by the Junior Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers – National as “an exhilarating display of intellect, [immersing] yourself in the world of trivia and [witnessing] fierce battles of wits, captivating questions, and electrifying moments of discovery as teams compete for the ultimate title.”
