The CPU Symphonic Band, led by their band director, Mr. Ascencion Bautista, welcomed students with their mood-setting songs.
On August 14, 2024, classes for college students at the Central Philippine University officially started. The opening of the first semester of the school year 2024-2025 brought an outpouring of enthusiasm and excitement to the new, transferees, and continuing college students through a variety of fun activities and programs.
As students entered the campus, the CPU Symphonic Band welcomed them with mood-setting songs that made their first day even more memorable. “We are prepared. We have been preparing for this even before the pandemic. As the new academic year begins, I am thrilled to welcome Centralian students,” CPU Symphonic Band Director Mr. Ascencion Bautista said in an interview.
To welcome the incoming class, the University has organized a series of events designed to help new students acclimate to campus life. These include Org Fair Booth, College Orientation for first year and transfer students, CPUR orientation, and Campus Tour.
According to the Registrar’s Office, as of the opening of classes, there were a total of 13,347 enrollees, with an expectation to have more since the last day of enrollment is scheduled for August 31, 2024.
The start of another school year promises a host of new opportunities, including expanded programs and a renewed focus on student success. As Centralians embark on this new journey, CPU is poised to offer a dynamic and supportive educational experience guided by the intersection of Scientia et Fides.
