Engr. Rhett Baldonado tests the “No Touch – Mass Faucet” system.

A “No Touch – Mass Faucet” system was installed near the health control station at CPU’s main gate. It provides personnel and guests the water for washing hands. “A hand washer doesn’t need to touch the faucet; clean water runs through by stepping on the foot-switch under the washtub, “according to Mr. Prim Vergara III who leads the health monitoring center.” “These Four units of non-touch water system provide efficiency and convenient hand washing as an improved health protocol”, he added.

Engr. Rhett Baldonado, Supervisor, Director for Facilities, supervised the construction of the said system. He also added that the design of the “No Touch – Mass Faucet” system was from Mr. Edwin Cortuna of the CPU Motorpool.

Alcohol pumps are still present near the Main Gate while a new automatic alcohol dispenser can be found at the entrance of the Rex D. Drilon Hall (Administration). The health monitoring center has been installed at the CPU gate area for health and security reasons. It has stationed security personnel around the clock since the COVID-19 pandemic started in March 2020.
