Iloilo City Government recognized CPU College of Arts and Sciences for producing top performers in the Chemical Technician Board Examination last October 2019. The certificate of recognition was received by the CAS Dean, Dr. Stella G. Fernandez, and the Chemistry Department Chairperson, Dr. Ilda G. Borlongan.  Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas cited “Such triumphant victory is a manifestation of CPU’s commitment to excellence in education. The University’s consistent performance brings pride and honor not only to the members of the CPU community but to the City as well.”

The Chemical Technician Board topnotchers Elmer Ermitaño, Jr. (8th placer), and Aimee Rose Cruz (10th placer)  were recognized on November 18, 2019. Each of them received a certificate of appreciation and a cash award.

The Iloilo City government also recognized other higher institutions in Iloilo that produced board topnotchers.  Mayor Jerry P. Treñas reiterated, “May this impressive achievement serves as an inspiration and be worthy of emulation by all academic institutions producing outstanding professionals.”
