Engr. Idemne during the 40th anniversary concert of the Bahandi Singers.

Engr. Vitini Edhard Idemne (‘Noy Vitz) is a Centralian Engineer, a faculty of the CPU College of Engineering, and a talented host for all seasons. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees, CPU Alumni Association, Inc. He continues to be the same jolly good fellow since way back his CPUR days (CPUR Senator 1982- 1983). We could always hear him sing at the University Church and on almost every occasion at the Rose Memorial Auditorium from before up to now.

Idemne is a faithful reader of the Bible, a professional program host, and a dedicated father and husband to Mrs. Rona Idemne.

Recently, he shared his insights about the “last days” and on “What’s happening to the world?” As his analysis of the apocalypse, Idemne explained that “These events and development in the world today must be related to the Biblical prophecies which the Lord has said during his time here on Earth.”

Idemne told us that, “There are a succession of events that trouble my imagination as I read from Matthew 24 verses 6 and 7 that say,” You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” “These have happened many times in many places — even before the pandemic.” He further said that “We have already heard or somehow seen the occurrences of disasters in all nations.” Idemni also observes that “disasters, floods, earthquakes, droughts, and wars occurred without historical precedent, and there are terrorist attacks elsewhere in the world. The prophecies of the Lord Jesus’ return may happen anytime now.”

Idemne referred also to a few more verses in Matthew 24. The Bible says, “All these are the beginning of birth pains; At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold….but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

The last verse that Idemne shared was on verse 42 of the same chapter in Matthew “Therefore keep watch because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” This is why that we must all be ready and continue to have faith in Jesus Christ.
