After more than a year of hibernation due to the COVID Pandemic, we are back on CPU TV Facebook channel for the weekly public affairs program, “Looking Forward” (year 3). The launching took place at CPU TV Studio on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 2:00PM. The program runs regularly at 2:00PM every Thursday and certainly will replay within the week.

The first edition of Looking Forward was aired live on CPU TV on July 20, 2018. Mr. Prim Vergara, Safety Officer of CPU was the first guest of the show. Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Office of Communications Director, has long before encouraged the production of the public affairs program. Looking Forward became a source of editorial materials for The Weekly Centralian Link official publication of the University. The concept was aimed at bringing events and information – from CPU campus to Centralians worldwide.

It required at least one guest (interviewee) from a service department, college department, CPU Alumni Chapter, Students and Civic Organizations based in CPU. We met with CPU TV coordinator, Miss Nestle Taala and her crew to “see things as it should be”. We were very grateful for their collegial understanding and support for the production.

Features on CPU as a tourism site, improvements and annual events were covered early on in Looking Forward. In a series of interviews with the Deans and administrators, plans and developments in education were somehow disclosed.

The show was consistent and favorable with the Centralian viewers who sent their comments on Facebook. It lived up to the expectation of CPU alumni, such as officers and Chapter Presidents were given chance to talk and update on their organuization. CPU Alumni Association President Isagani Jalbuena was interviewed in Looking Forward before the Global Reunion was held in CPU in February 2020.

Due to health protocols on COVD 19, Looking Forward program was temporarily stopped in March 2020.
