CPURAFLU-FFW joins the nationwide Labor Day 2025 celebration at CPU-CARES, receiving the Kadiwa ng Pangulo grant in partnership with DOLE RO6 and DA RO6 to honor workers and promote inclusive agricultural growth.

Central Philippine University-Rank & File Labor Union, Federation of Free Workers (CPURAFLU-FFW) joined the nationwide simultaneous celebration of Labor Day on May 1, 2025, as one of the recognized recipients of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo program. The event took place at the CPU-CARES Study Area, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Region 6 (DOLE RO6) and the Department of Agriculture (DA RO6).

The celebration opened with warm welcome from Dr. Jaime C. Cabarles, Jr., Dean CPU-CARES, who highlighted the significance of labor in community development and the role of urban agriculture in promoting food sustainability.

Ms. Ma. Teresa Solis of the Department of Agriculture RO6 and Director Melissa Navarra from Department of Labor & Employment RO6, expressed their support and appreciation for initiatives that empower local producers and laborers.

Mrs. Ma. Victoria G. Bellosillo, CPURAFLU-FFW President, formally accepted the Kadiwa ng Pangulo grant on behalf of CPURAFLU, affirming the university’s commitment to supporting the program’s goals and promoting inclusive agricultural growth.

The event not only celebrated the dignity of work but also served as a platform to showcase the productivity and resilience of Filipino farmers, workers, and entrepreneurs.

The program concluded with a surprise raffle draw, where lucky RAFLU members received 5 kilos of rice-a generous gesture sponsored by kind-hearted individuals in support of the occasion. The giveaway added excitement and appreciation to a meaningful celebration dedicated to the CPURAFLU workforce.
