Central Philippine University Dance Company (CPUDC) made it to the 3rd place over several other Universities and Colleges in the ASEAN Dances Competition, ASEAN Star Gala on January 23, 2023.

On invitation of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the CPUDC again performed at the “PASINAYA 2023” in Manila on February 5. The “Pasinaya 2023…Piglas at Sining” held at the CCP is a showcase of ASEAN Dances and Cultural Performances. According to Prof. Randy Lero, Artistic Director of CPUDC, CPU Cultural Affairs Office, “Our delegation had a well-applauded performance at the Pasinaya 2023.” He added that, “The CPU Dance Company (Ang Tumandok sang Iloilo) is now a partner of Kaisa sa Sining of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.”

Before the CCP event, the group also performed at the CPU Rose Memorial Auditorium for the Philippine Nurses Association of America “Balik -Turo (Salin Kaalaman 2023”) on January 20, 2023.

The CPUDC is a big promotional support to Central Philippine University, considering their artistic and laudable performances in local, national and international Cultural events. CPU Dance Company is headed by Prof. Lero under the supervision of Ms. Crista S. Huyong, Director of CPU Cultural Affairs Office.
