3rd from left (in blue dress) is CPUCARES AAA President Dr. Blanquita Garcia with the executive members of the Alumni Association – in their weekly meeting in Aganan, Pavia. Also present is Board of Trustees Member, Manuel C. Palada with his newly published book.

The last quarter of the year is a season of reunions and homecoming. This time the CPU College of Agriculture Resources and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association (CPUCARES-AAI) (Formerly CPUCAAA), and the Mindanao Centralians are holding a Grand Reunion in the South. It will be held at the Castin’s Place in Norala, South Cotabato, from October 9 to 11, 2023. The highly expected gathering of Centralians has already been curiously talked about; becoming the talk of the town (of course, starting in Norala).

Is this open to all Centralians? CPUCARES AAI President Madam Blanquita Garcia explained that “Just like our 2017 reunion we welcomed other Centralians because some Centralians in Mindanao were not able to join the celebration in the CPU campus. They also want to participate, hence the invitation for them to join us.”

What is in store for the attendees then? The program will start on October 9, Monday and will end on October 11. It begins with the arrival of alumni, billeting and registration. The Opening Program will start at 7:30 PM after a Dinner. The opening message will be delivered by CPUCARESAA President. And to deliver his Welcome Address is Hon. Clement B. Fedoc, Mayor of Norala, South Cotabato.

On Day 2, there will be a Motorcade after breakfast. Every day until the last day will be enjoyable and exciting with Raffle Draws, Site-seeing, games and picture taking. There will also be Technology Lectures and Slide Shows.

Hon Reynaldo S. Tamayo Sr., Governor South Cotabato will speak during a dinner, wherein the Outstanding Alumni Plaques of Recognition will be awarded. CPU President Dr. Teodoro C. Robles and CPU Alumni Association President Atty. Jeremy Bionat are expected to deliver their messages during the President’s Time.

“There are possibly more to be added in the program, as adjustments are made towards the period of the event.” The schedule for October11, 2023, Thursday will be Homeward Bound.
