CPU Republic 15th parliament turned over its LED Wall project to Central Philippine University on Monday, October 12, 2020.

The 1.6m X 0.64m LED wall is the final and end-of-term project of the 15th parliament. It was initiated by former CPUR Vice-President Ray Peregrino Jr. The purchase was facilitated by Mrs. Hermely Jalando-on, the CPU Purchasing Officer.

“CPUR is for the students and we want to give and leave them with a project that they deserve. Along with our partner organizations, we came up with this project to provide a platform for students to be informed of important school announcements,” said Peregrino.

“Since there are still no physical classes at this time, the LED Wall can provide updates and announcements on COVID-19, as well as remind employees and visitors of health and safety protocols implemented by the university.”

For the realization of the project, the 15th parliament collaborated with the Office of Communications, and Alpha Phi Omega (APO).

“This project would not be possible without the help of the CPU Office of Communications and its Director Rev. Francis Neil Jalando-on. We also would like to extend our thanks to Mr. Jeric Chavez of Ms. Julie Ann Bolivar of APO.”

The LED Wall is located at the entrance of the Half-moon Drive. It was installed by the personnel of the Facilities Maintenance & Services headed by its Director, Engr. Rhett Allan Baldonado.
