As the COVID-19 pandemic starts to subside, the Central Philippine University students have started to return to the campus after more than two years- the first time most of them will be attending face-to-face Prelims Examination on February 23-28, 2023.

Moreover, the first day of the examination showed the determined and earnest students around the campus. For many, this is a return to normality. However, we have this as the first face-to-face to truly understand that this is a “new normal”, not only in the fact that we have to be aware of health and social distancing, but also with regard to how we frame our students’ learning experience.

On the second day, as per proclamation No. 167 Series of 2023, February 24 is declared as a special non-working holiday in commemoration of the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary, classes and Prelims Examination are suspended. Exams scheduled to February 24 was moved to March 1 and exams on February 27 & 28 would go on as scheduled.

CPU Republic said on their Facebook page, “Hey, Centralians! Are the roars still loud and proud? Well, the first face to face prelims exam this school year will come to make or break us. Will you allow it to break you? Of course, not! It’s studying season again! Need a big motivation to surpass your exam performance last semester? Let us always put in mind that trusting the process will always lead to success, but overstudying is not part of the process. Remember to take breaks and give yourself a warm hug for every step you’ve took. You’ve been there and you’re now here, big and untouchable. We’ve been having hard times to adjust and feeling like our shiniest wheels are attracting rust, but the most important thing is, we are trying. Let us all claim na pasado tayo this Prelims!
