A visit to the Kindergarten School with Ma’am May Guillem, Ma’am Praise E. Glory (School Principal), Sir Cyrus Natividad and Ma’am Joy Espinosa.

A new Reading Center for children was inaugurated inside the Kindergarten School Building on Thursday, March 23, 2023. The mini-library includes areas for educational and leisure activities for preschoolers. Praise E. Glory, LPT, M. Ed, the school principal, pointed out positive changes in the children’s behavior since the library’s development, with support from Ms. May Guillem, the school secretary, and Janeria Joy C. Espinosa, the librarian.

Glory observed that after the pandemic mode of learning, children enjoy more extra-curricular activities and less discussion. She added that this teaching strategy requires leisure reading and game areas.

The Kinder Library features a reading area, audio/visual area, log-in and log-out area, librarian’s table, technical area, Filipiniana section, and Dr. Robles’ special collection.

As part of Fire Prevention Month, the inauguration activities included a fire equipment demonstration outside of the Kinder School. A fire truck unit with firefighting equipment was displayed for the Junior-K (5 yrs old), Pre-K (4 years old), and Kinders to appreciate and learn. The pupils wore mock-up firefighter uniforms, attentively listening as a fireman from Jaro Police Station demonstrated the use of firefighting equipment. They later participated in a fire drill.
