Trophies await the champions and runners-up of the 2025 Football Festival, which kicked off on May 8 at the CPU Football Field with over 150 teams from across Visayas.

On May 8, 2025, the 2025 Football Festival officially opened at the Central Philippine University (CPU) Football Field, with more than 150 teams from across the Visayas participating in the two-day sporting event.

Organized by the Maharlika Panay Eagles Club in partnership with the Rotary Club of Iloilo, the festival features 12 age-group divisions and aims to promote sportsmanship, youth development, and community engagement.


CPU remains committed to promoting youth development and sportsmanship as it hosts the 2025 Football Festival organized by the Maharlika Panay Eagles Club in partnership with the Rotary Club of Iloilo.

The opening day includes matches for boys’ U8, U12, and U17 categories starting at 7:30 a.m., and girls’ U10, U14, and U17 games beginning at 12:30 p.m. Games will resume on Saturday, May 10, with boys’ U9, U11, and U15 matches in the morning, and U13, Men’s Open, and Over-40 games in the afternoon.

Teams registered with a PHP2,000 fee to join the tournament. The champion will receive PHP10,000 in cash, along with a trophy and medals in recognition of their achievement. The first and second runners-up will also be awarded trophies.

CPU supports the event as part of its ongoing commitment to youth development and holistic education through sports, recognizing the vital role that athletic programs play in shaping discipline, leadership, and community spirit among young people.
