Central Philippine University held a virtual training-workshop on lecture recording for faculty members on November 11, 2020.

The event was spearheaded by the CPU Canvas Team under the leadership of its Chairperson and School of Graduate Studies Dean Dr. Rowena Libo-on together with College of Education Dean Dr. Merle Junsay, College of Engineering Dean Engr. Dany Molina, College of Computer Studies Acting Dean Prof. Christina Quijano, Engr. Gelvie Lagos and Prof. Theza Hipolito.

“It is our goal to continuously improve the experience of the learners and address the challenges of online education. This training will enhance your skills in lecture video recording as well as help students who have problems with connectivity,” said Dr. Libo-on in her Rationale of the Training.

Introduction to Lecture Video Recording was discussed by Senior High School faculty Prof. Theza Hipolito while College of Engineering faculty Engr. Gelvie Lagos talked about Basic Video Recording. Dean Dany Molina gave the workshop instructions.

The different colleges and departments presented their outputs which were judged by Dr. Rowena Libo-on, Communications Director Rev. Francis Neil Jalando-on, and Internet Services Administrator Mr. Jojee Roy Juarez.

College of Medical Laboratory Sciences emerged as the winner, followed by the College of Nursing and the College of Education in second and third place, respectively.

The faculty will also attend a lecture on Revisiting and Enhancing the OBE Syllabus on November 25. The Review and Continuing Education & Consultancy Center will hold the said lecture.
