Ms. Chriselda Elaine Ador of the Guidance Services Center captured a memorable photo opportunity at the 2024 Volunteerism Forum.

Ms. Chriselda Elaine Ador, from the CPU-Guidance Services Center, joined the Volunteerism Forum 2024 with the theme “Strengthening Volunteerism: Empowering the Youth of Today” in line with the celebration of the National Volunteer Month (NVM) on December 1-3, 2024.

The first day was hosted at Liceo de Cagayan University, located at R.N. Pelaez Blvd., Brgy. Carmen, 9000 Cagayan De Oro City, with the subsequent days at Hamersons Hotel, Pabayo St., corner Tomas Saco St., Cagayan de Oro City.

“Ms. Ador gained valuable insights on the core principles of volunteering, including its impact, recruitment, and mobilization,” Guidance Services Center – CPU wrote on their Facebook page. “CPU remains committed to promoting volunteerism and empowering students to make a difference!”

The event kicked off with the BayaniRun fun run and featured insightful seminars on volunteerism, empowering the youth, and community engagement. It was attended by student leaders, student affairs and services practitioners, and student organization moderators and advisers from various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the Philippines.

The forum was made possible through the efforts of the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services (PAPSAS) in collaboration with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA).

CPU’s active participation in such events underscores its commitment to fostering a stronger sense of community and social responsibility, both within the Centralian community and beyond.
