The spirit of giving is alive at CPU! Employees receive festive gift packs as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
As part of Central Philippine University’s holiday tradition, employees were warmly welcomed with Christmas gift packs as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The distribution of these festive gifts was announced in Memo No. 134, which informed all university employees that the gift packs would be available for pick-up from December 2 to 6, 2024.
Organized by the CPU Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) under the leadership of Ma’am Krizy Mae C. Vargas, Compensation Officer, the distribution took place at the CPU Grandstand. On December 2, employees were able to claim their gift packs from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. From December 3 to 6, the distribution continued with extended hours from 8:30 AM to 12:00 NN and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
Each employee received not one, but two gift packs – a gesture that underscores the university’s appreciation of its workforce. Employees were encouraged to personally claim their gifts, but those unable to do so could send a representative with an authorization letter and a copy of their university ID for verification.
Unclaimed gift packs after December 6, 2024, will be included as prizes at the upcoming university Christmas party, ensuring that every gift finds a home.
The act of giving, especially during the Christmas season, reflects the core values of the university—caring for one another, sharing love, and fostering a sense of unity among staff. The CPU community’s spirit of giving serves as a reminder of the importance of thoughtfulness and generosity, especially toward those who serve and support the university in various ways.
As the holiday season approaches, this simple yet meaningful gesture reminds everyone that Christmas is not only about receiving, but more importantly, about giving and showing appreciation for those around us.
