The CPU-ECE Team makes history again by securing its seventh consecutive victory as the Regional Champion for the Interscholastic Quiz Show 2024 at the University of San Agustin Pavilion on October 5, 2024.

On October 5, 2024, the CPU-ECE Team again made history by securing its seventh consecutive victory as the Regional Champion for Interscholastic Quiz Show. The Institute of Electronic Engineers of the Philippines Iloilo – Western Visayas Student Chapter (IECEP ILOILO-WVESC) hosted the IECEP Regional Interscholastic Quiz Show 2024 at the University of San Agustin Pavilion.

The competition had participants from various universities, including Central Philippine University (CPU), Filamer Christian University (FCU), Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), University of Antique (UA), and University of San Agustin (USA). The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as schools showcased their proficiency and dedication.

The winning team from CPU-ECE included Jeff Pablo Cocjin as the team captain, Aira Almonicar, Fredric Mitch Biso, Jay Kim Estrella, Louise Angelo Lopera, and Niño Armell Salazar, all ECE-4 students, under the guidance of their mentors, Engr. Marian Mie Alimo-ot, Engr. Babylou Nava, Engr. Gelvie Lagos, Engr. Yeseil Sacramento, and Engr. Juicy Valdueza.

These students truly exemplified remarkable teamwork, strategic thinking, and a profound grasp of the subject matter. Their dedication and hard work paid off as they clinched the title through their collaborative efforts.

A massive congratulations to the incredible CPU-ECE team for their outstanding seven consecutive victories! They’ve proven once again that they are the reigning champions of the IECEP Regional Interscholastic Quiz Show. We are eagerly looking forward to witnessing their continued success as they embark on their journey to represent IECEP ILOILO – WVESC at the National Interscholastic Quiz Bowl on November 15, 2024, which will be held in UP Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
