University Church Associate Pastor Rev. Roger Quimpo giving the message.

Central Philippine University celebrated thanksgiving with an online service held on November 25, 2020.

In his opening remarks, CPU President Dr. Teodoro talked about the life of Apostle Paul and how he showed the meaning of true thanksgiving in the midst of adversities. He also emphasized that we must be thankful every day.

“God is always good to us and CPU. He has blessed us so much that’s why every day must be a day of thanksgiving”.

COVID-19 survivor and College of Hospitality Management faculty member Prof. Ismael Almajar shared God’s faithfulness throughout his journey of recovering from the virus. He also thanked the CPU community for their constant prayers and support.

For the message, University Church Associate Pastor for Outreach Rev. Roger Quimpo talked about true gratitude.

“The command is not to be thankful; the command is to give thanks, so you must express it.” Rev. Quimpo also said that going through life in humility and gratefulness is an expression of thanksgiving to God.
