Clark Jan J. Quidato and Mark Hendrix G. Lapac won the 1st Runner-Up title at the BIOTA – West Visayas Biology Regional Quiz Bowl.

Central Philippine University celebrates the outstanding performance of Clark Jan J. Quidato (3rd Year BS Biology) and Mark Hendrix G. Lapac (2nd Year BS Biology) who bagged the 1st Runner-Up title at the BIOTA – West Visayas Biology Regional Quiz Bowl held last May 4, 2024, at the Iloilo Science and Technology University Main Campus – Multipurpose Educational Center.

Guided by coaches Mr. Raymund N. Fantalgo and Ms. Maricel N. Falguisana, the CPU team showcased exceptional knowledge and unwavering determination throughout the competition. Their impressive performance earned them the well-deserved 1st Runner-Up position.

“Congratulations once again to our 1st Runner-Up quiz bowl winners! We are incredibly proud of their dedication to learning and their willingness to take on challenges,” said a CPU spokesperson. “We look forward to witnessing their continued success and growth in their academic journeys.”

Mark Hendrix Lapac, one of the winning CPU representatives, shared his thoughts on their achievement. “I’m very proud of this milestone. We had fun during the process of training under the unending guidance of our professors. Not only nabusog kami, we were able to acquire learnings and skills that made us rise during the competition. I’m looking forward to more opportunities. All for CAS, all for CENTRAL!” Lapac said.

The BIOTA – West Visayas Biology Regional Quiz Bowl is a prestigious competition that gathers talented biology students from various schools across the region.
