CPU Biological Society in partnership with Panay-Negros Bird Breeders Inc., Iloilo Tarantula Keepers, and Iloilo and Guinea Pig Breeders held the first Animal Exhibit on September 23 to 24, 2019 at the Roblee Science Hall. The exhibit was realized through the efforts of Mr. Mark Clemens Ortaliz, Webmaster of Central Philippine University.

Students, faculty and staff observed and interacted with different kinds of animals namely tarantulas, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and hamsters. The proceeds from the two-day exhibit would be used to fund future projects of the CPU Biological Society.

Several birds such as parakeets were also featured in the exhibit.

Younger students enjoyed interacting with  rabbits and guinea pigs.

“Through this exhibit, we want students to learn about the importance of animals. We just started this year, and we are hoping for a bigger exhibit for 2020. I am very happy that we were able to collaborate with the CPU Biological Society and other organizations in Panay,” Ortaliz said.
