Ladies and Gentlemen, University officials, esteemed faculty, proud parents, spouses, significant others, and the extraordinary graduating class of the School of Graduate Studies of Central Philippine University, good morning!
Today marks a significant milestone in your lives. It’s a day of celebration, reflection, and anticipation. We gather here to honor your achievements and to look forward to the future with hope and excitement.
Over the years, you faced countless challenges and overcame numerous obstacles. You have spent long nights studying, writing your thesis or dissertation, engaged in lively debates in your classes and during the concept defense, proposal defense, and final defense of your study, and formed bonds that will last a lifetime. These experiences have shaped you into who you are today.
You stand here not just as graduates but as individuals ready to make a difference. Your journey has been filled with moments of doubt and moments of triumph. Each of these moments has taught you valuable lessons about perseverance, resilience, and the importance of believing in yourselves.
As you move forward, let us carry these lessons with us. The world outside this University campus is vast and full of opportunities. It is also a world that needs your energy, your creativity, and your passion. You now have the power to shape the future, to innovate, to inspire, and to lead.
From the words of Confucius: “The basic goal of education is to cultivate “persons of virtue,” who should have sound character and uplifted minds. Such persons should be able to shoulder important social responsibilities and make contributions to society. You have been given this powerful tool, your graduate education; and now it is your responsibility to use it wisely and effectively.
You are stepping into a world that is constantly evolving. Technology is advancing at a rapid pace, and global issues demand our attention and action. It is up to you to embrace these changes, to adapt, and to find solutions to the challenges you and I will face.
Let us not be afraid to dream big. Let us set ambitious goals and work tirelessly to achieve them. The path ahead may not always be smooth, but with determination and hard work, we can overcome any obstacle.

On my part, as a Centralian graduate, I will continue to support our international collaboration with the University. As much as possible, I will invite more students to come to Central Philippine University for quality and excellent Christian education for life.
In conclusion, let us thank our families, friends, and mentors who have supported us throughout this journey. Their guidance and encouragement have been very invaluable.
