To conclude its virtual commencement exercises and activities for School Year 2019-2020, Central Philippine University will premiere on Facebook Live “Central’s Pride and Joy: CPU College Honors and Awards Recipients for School Year 2019-2020” on November 20, 2020, 7 P.M. (Philippine Time).

Onesiforo Berina, Jr., the Alton Bigelow Memorial or Alma Mater Awardee and a Bachelor of Theology graduate, magna cum laude, leads the 117 honorees who qualified for various academic honors and co-curricular awards for the said school year.

The virtual presentation will include the 2019 Professional Board topnotchers, the Alton Bigelow Memorial Awardee, the CPU Loyalty Awardees, the Honor Graduates, and recipients of Academic and Scholarship Awards; Civic, Cultural and Publication Awards; Leadership Awards; the Sports and Athletics Award; and, Work Student Awards.

“We are truly thankful to God for His provisions that enabled us to produce the virtual commencement exercises for School Year 2019-2020. It may be a far cry from the traditional in-person graduation ceremonies, and we may have missed other commencement events, but the University is grateful that despite the Covid 19 pandemic, we can honor the hard work of our students and their parents through those virtual programs,” said Ms. Charissa June Deocampo, CPU Registrar and chairperson of the Commencement Exercises Committee.

CPU Registrar, Ms. Deocampo thanked God for enabling the Committee to produce the different commencement virtual events which have been aired through social media for the period May to November this year.
