Prof. Kay Arden Q. Gallo, Director of CPU LILAC, received the award from CHED.

Central Philippine University has achieved another milestone, earning recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for its inclusion in the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the year 2023. This esteemed award, exclusively conferred upon both private and state universities and colleges that have secured positions in renowned global rankings such as QS, WURI, and THE, was presented to CPU during the ICONS Award 2023 ceremony held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on October 6, 2023.

Prof. Kay Arden Q. Gallo, the Director of the Local and International Linkages and Affiliations Center (LILAC), proudly accepted the award on behalf of CPU’s esteemed President, Dr. Teodoro C. Robles. This recognition is a testament to CPU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research, and global competitiveness.

Notably, this marks the second consecutive year that CHED has acknowledged the remarkable efforts of higher education institutions in the Philippines to secure positions in world university rankings. In 2022, Central Philippine University was honored with the same award for its outstanding inclusion in the QS Asia University rankings, a feat that the university has maintained for three consecutive years.

CPU’s consistent recognition in these prestigious global rankings highlights its dedication to providing high-quality education and fostering a research culture that contributes to international knowledge sharing and academic excellence. The university remains committed to continuing its pursuit of excellence and further enhancing its global standing in the field of higher education.
