Centralian Law graduate Mr. Dexter G. Dizon was awarded the 2nd best photo in Region 6 on the 120th Anniversary of the Civil Service Commission last September 23, 2020.

Mr. Dizon’s entry in the regional photography competition represents the front- liners in their fight against the COVID-19 disease; a common scenario in hospitals where service is not just about duty, but about compassion and heroism to save lives.

Dizon’s winning photo is a common scenario in the fight against Covid -19.

“The Registered Medical Technologists of LGU-Pavia choose to be happy while risking life and limb in painstakingly swabbing one Pavianhon at a time in order to inspire them to be optimistic of the journey to the new normal. Through Divine Providence and the able leadership of Mayor Luigi Gorriceta, Pavianhons are assured that they, together with the rest of humanity heal as one,” reads the explanation of Dizon’s winning entry.

The award was given during a “Lingkod Bayan” ceremony in Pavia, Iloilo. Dizon, who is a former three-term councilor of the Municipality of Pavia has received many awards in local and national photo competitions.
