Winner of this year’s Centralian Fest Poetry Choir Competition from the CPU-College of Nursing together with the judges.

Centralian Fest – The College of Nursing won in the Poetry Choir Competition, while the Department of Senior High School bagged 1st place in the Chorale Competition, both held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium on April 16, 2024.

Out of five competing teams, the CPU College of Nursing emerged victorious in this year’s Centralian Fest Poetry Choir Competition. The College of Engineering was awarded 2nd place, while the College of Business and Accountancy ranked 3rd. Judges for the said competition were Prof. Joel B. Labos, Prof. Alfredo B. Diaz, and Prof. Elaine Logronio-Monserate.

“Today, we gather to celebrate [the power of words] the beauty of words in the harmony of our voices as our contestants and participants take the stage to weave tales, evoke emotions, and inspire us all,” Rep. Hannah Angela Grace Neri, Chairperson of the Poetry Choir Competition, said during her opening remarks.

On the other hand, the Chorale Competition was held in the afternoon of the same day. Out of eight talented teams, the Senior High School Department emerged as the overall champion and won the title of Best Conductor for this year’s Centralian Fest Chorale Competition.

The College of Medical Laboratory Science won 2nd place, while the College of Nursing bagged 3rd place. The judges of the said event were Erlinda V. Bebit, Argiel P. Resurreccion, and Roque Magsipoc.

“Each group brings their unique voice and interpretation to the stage. Promising and afternoon filled with harmony, passion, and inspiration. Let the music uplift our spirits and unite us in appreciation of the timeless art form,” Sen. Phoebe Porras stated during her opening remarks.
