The core group who planned and worked for the CCINAA First International Reunion.

On September 17 to 20, 2023, Central Philippine University, Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, and Iloilo Mission Hospital Nurses’ Alumni Association (CCINAA) held its First International Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, with the theme “Paghiliusa” (Ilonggo term for Cooperation).

The first-ever convergence of Centralian Nurses, coming from different parts of the world was held at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas. It was attended by more than 300 CCINAA nurses, according to CPU College of Nursing Dean Melba Capaspas-Sale. She said that, “Our alumni worldwide has gotten even stronger and bigger – as one big family due to their steadfast love and support to CPU College of Nursing; ever happy and proud of being Centralians. It has been a long time since we have met some of them.”

The Dean also expressed sentiments about the Central Spirit which she added, “There’s real closeness that binds everyone here at CCINAA’s First International Reunion.” The registration held on the first day brought excitement as more familiar faces were met. Nursing kits, or it could be souvenirs and reading materials in bags were distributed to the registrants on the first day. Evenings find everyone in their classy casual apparels for the program and dance- after -dinner.

Former Dean of the CPU College of Nursing, Honorable Salex Alibogha was there to speak on the State of the CPU College of Nursing at the Gala Night on September 19, 2023. Dean Melba Capaspas-Sale –BSN Class of 1997 delivered a response. Guest Speaker Ann Catedrilla Seisa BSN Class of 1977, talked on “Positioning the College in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
A “Rigodon de Honor” and delightful music got the better of everyone – to dance all night long. Easter Contado Arora BSN Class of 1962 was the Reunion Convenor.

Debbie Moreno Combatir, BSN Class 2001 and Jonathan Capilango, BSN Class 1993 were Masters of Ceremonies.
