During the South Reunion from October 9 to 11, 2023 in Norala, South Cotabato, a momentous decision was made to form an organizing committee for a fresh Mindanao Centralians Chapter. Dr. Vita Basiao Gasataya, a CPUAAI Member of the Board of Trustees and the designated Representative for Mindanao, has been appointed as the chairperson of this committee.

Dr. Gasataya emphasized, “This initiative is aimed at bolstering the programs of the CPUAAI Central Office, and since Regions 11 and 12 are home to a significant number of Centralians, they will be the initial members of this new chapter.” She also encouraged others to step forward and join the organizing committee, stating, “We are actively seeking additional volunteers who share our vision.”

Dr. Gasataya, a proud graduate of CPU with a degree in BS Biology in 1983, also holds the distinction of being an alumna of CPU High School from the class of 1979, Elementary class of 1975, and Kindergarten class of 1969. Her dedication and experience make her a fitting choice to lead this exciting endeavor.
